Dear Parents and Students:
The 2004-05 school year will be opened
on September 12 and the on-site registration
will be start at 1 p. m. School hours are
2 to 5 p. m. on Sunday afternoons, as usual,
consisting of two periods of language learning
and one period of cultural activities. Our
school will use the St. Joseph Institute
for the Deaf school (SJID) located at 1809
Clarkson Road (west of Clarkson & Baxter
intersection). The advanced web site/mailing
registration starts on August 15 through
August 31. The tuition is $135 per student
per semester, plus $10 registration processing
fee per student. The registration processing
fee can be waived for prior students if
registered before August 31, 2004. The new
families are exempted from the registration
processing fee. In order to help simplify
the class assignment, the School encourages
families to register at school's web site
and you may bring in your tuition at the
first day of the school. If you pay tuition
by check, please payable to St. Louis Chinese
Language School. Sorry, our school does
not take any type of credit cards.
* There will be three language tracks:
traditional character track, simplified
character track, and English-teaching track.
The enrichment programs include folk dance,
martial arts, Chess (GO, Chinese chesses),
Arts & Crafts, Sports (basketball, badminton,
soccer, ping-pong, volleyball), drawing,
Chinese conversation, sing-and-play, Chinese
folk music instruments, and Taiji (each
enrichment class must have 5 students to
open a class). The parent's activities include
taiji, aerobic and sports.
* There will be a special PTA Orientation
meeting between 2:15 to 3:00 p.m. on September
19, the second week of the School. The Board
strongly recommend all parents to participate.
The parent on-duty requirements and parent
activities will be explained at the meeting
as well as addressing some operational concerns
which will require your cooperation. Board
and staff members will be introduced to
all parents.
* The food Coupon fund raising program
will be available on the first day of the
school. Please support our school while
you are doing your weekly food shopping.

*學校語文學習仍以正體､簡体和英文班為主。課外活動有民族舞蹈､繪畫､美勞､中文會話､棋類（圍棋､象棋､軍棋､跳棋）､球類（籃球､羽毛球､足球､排球､乒乓球）､唱遊､國樂等班（每班五人以上才開班）。家長活動有太極､球類及韻律操等。
*開學第二週訂為“認識學校”日。在兩點十五分到三點有一個特別家長會﹐為家長們介紹學校校董及職員們､解說家長值勤要求､家長活動及貴家長合作之處。請貴家長屆時留校參加這個重要的活動。
*學校的食物卷募款活動在開學時可購買﹐請大力支持。
