An Educational Delegation from Hunan Normal University, Changsha Hunan, China visited St. Louis Community College and city of St. Louis 


The educational delegation headed by Mr. Wang Xiang xin, Vice President of Hunan Normal Normal University, Hunan, China visited St. Louis from 12/01 /03-12/03/03. 

The delegation members included: Dr. Tang Kalin, Professor of Ethics, Liu Maosong, Dean of Business School, Ms. Fu Xiaohua, Dean of Medical College, Dr. Tang Weibing, Dean of Instructions, and Dr. Liu Chaoxian, Dean of International College of Cultural Studies.

The main purpose of this delegation's visit to the North America is to visit the educational system of the United States. St. Louis and St. Louis Community College is one of the stops of the visit. St. Louis Community college and Hunan Normal University started the educational exchange in 1998 when the first Forest Park visited China and Hunan Normal University. This is the third delegation from Hunan Normal university to St. Louis. Every year, there is a group of students and faculty visiting Hunan Normal University. 

During the visit in St. Louis, the delegation visited St. Louis Community College at Forest Park campus, and visited some tourist attractions of St. Louis city. On December 2, the delegation visited Forest Park campus of St. Louis Community college. In the morning, the delegation visited the Forest Park campus and different divisions. Chancellor, Dr. Shannon and Acting President, Dr. Smith invited all the District and College Leadership Team and members of the campus Global Education committee members to meet with the delegation during the special luncheon for the delegation. President Smith warmly welcomed the delegation to St. Louis and Forest Park campus. He specially expressed his support for the exchange between the two institutions. In the evening, the delegation was invited to a Chinese dinner at Jade Garden by Dr. Smith. At the dinner time, a discussion on future exchanges was held. In St. Louis, the delegation also visited the Arch, and Washington University. 

The delegation left for Indiana on December 3. They also visited New Jersey, New York, and Washington D.C.
