 
St. Louis Worldways Children's Museum proudly presents a special Chinese rod puppet show

This performance mixes poetry with music, humor, elegance, and special effects to create an engaging show based on Chinese folklore. Each 45-minute show presents five independent stories with their own unique characters: The Crane and The Tortoise, A Donkey's Best Friend, The Dancer, Old Man and the Monkeys, The Super Duper Ping Pong Match. Since Chinese puppets don't talk, there is no language barrier to enjoyment of this show. The stories are conveyed entirely through the skill of the puppeteers and the actions of the puppets.

Images of China is suitable for general audience ages 2 to 99. The show is highly recommended for children ages 4 - 10. Come celebrate Chinese New Year 2004 - the year of the Monkey - with a puppet show at Worldways Children's Museum.
Puppetry Workshops:
Enjoy learning how to make rod puppets under the guidance of Brenda Xu in a 45-minute workshop. Cost $5.00 per person.

visa difficulty of Assistant Professor Chia-Jen Liu.
Worldways Children's Museum will offer a Taiwanese Palm Puppetry Workshop
on January 31, 2004. The workshop features Chia-Jen Liu, Assistant Professor in the Department of Art, Drama and Theater, Chaoyang University of Technology,
Taiwan. Workshop times are 9:00 - 10:30 a.m., 10:45 - 12:15 a.m., 1:00 - 2:30 p.m., and 3:00 - 4:30
