The Organization of Chinese Americans (OCA) St. Louis Chapter
2004 Annual Banquet, January 24, 2004

Youth Leadership Award Winner: Grace Horng

Grace is a top 2% honor student at Parkway Central High School and the current President of YOCA.

Grace is a focused and capable young lady. She has actively pursued many activities and interests while in high school. She led YOCA volunteers in the annual Chinese Culture Day, voter registration drive, and the joint picnic with FCC. She spearheaded the Toastmasters Youth Leadership Program for YOCA and completed the program herself last summer. She is on the high school tennis team, an accomplished musician in violin and piano and is currently a member of the orchestra at her high school. Grace is intelligent, hardworking, creative, motivated and disciplined. She is eager and ready to volunteer for whatever that needs to be done. Her compassion for under privileged children took her to Mexico City, Mexico in 2003 on a short-term mission trip with her church to work with children in extreme poverty in Mexico.

She is sensitive and sincerely cares about others, always has an idea to share or a question to ask with a ready smile and laugh.
