| The
University of Missouri-St. Louis will serve as host to 19 public
service officials from Nanjing, China, for three weeks as part of
an enrichment partnership.
The delegates, who will arrive on campus Saturday, will learn
about municipal planning and policies as part of an educational
governmental workshop.
The workshop, now in its fourth year, allows UMSL scholars to
work with city administrators and staff members from China. In
addition to lectures and informational sessions, the delegates
will tour St. Louis City Hall and meet Mayor Francis Slay.
Nanjing has been a sister city to St. Louis for more than 25
years, and the Center for International Studies at UMSL has maintained
a strong partnership with Nanjing officials and scholars during
that time.
