music, fine food, and an exciting auction
on April 15 while helping young girls from
low-income families achieve educational
success. “Marian Magic” is a fund-raiser
for Marian Middle School, an alternative
school that prepares girls with the academic
skills and financial scholarships to attend
Catholic high schools in St. Louis.
Preeminent St. Louisan Julius Hunter will
sign copies of his book, Absurd Alphabedtime
Stories, during the cocktail hour and will
later auction a fabulous array of items,
including a Steamboat Springs condo stay,
a ride in the St. Louis County police helicopter,
and restaurant gift certificates. The band
St. Louis Express will entertain guests
with pop music and polkas.

are tax deductible). All proceeds support
the Marian Middle School mission.
Founded in 1999 by eight religious orders
of women, Marian Middle School is a private
Catholic school (grades six through eight)
whose mission is to foster the academic,
emotional, spiritual, and physical development
of economically disadvantaged adolescent
girls of all religious, racial, and ethnic
backgrounds through a full range of educational
experiences.
