rapper Twista will perform as part of the
21st annual Mirthday celebration at the
University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Mirthday will take place from noon to 10
p.m. April 20 near the lakes outside the
Millennium Student Center. The event will
feature games, carnival rides, face painting,
performance artists, food and music.
KSLZ (107.7 FM) will broadcast live from
UMSL from noon to 2 p.m. DJ Charlie Chan
will emcee the event from 2 to 6 p.m. Slu
Cru, Logic and Aloha Mischeaux (from "American
Idol") will perform starting at 6 p.m.
Twista will headline the evening at 8 p.m.
Hailed for more than a decade as an underground
marvel, Twista became a hip-hop breakthrough
star last year with the release of the album
"Kamikaze." The double-platinum
album, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard
200 chart, features the hit singles "Slow
Jamz," "So Sexy" and "Overnight
Celebrity."
Mirthday is an annual spring event sponsored
by the Office of Student Life at UMSL. Admission
