WHO / WHAT: Maritz-Sponsored Family Day
at the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis
The Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis
believes it is never too late or too early
to experience and learn about art. On Saturday,
February 26, 2005, 1:00 - 4:00pm, families
across the St. Louis area can do just that
during Maritz Family Day - a special day
at the Contemporary designed to open up
the spectacular and lively world of art
to families and children of all ages.
Admission and activities are entirely free
and lunch and snacks are available for purchase
at TEMPT, the Contemporary's cafe. The day's
events include:
* Interactive Galley Guides for children
that explain and explore the Contemporary's
current exhibitions: Yoshitomo Nara: Nothing
Ever Happens and Laylah Ali: Paintings and
Drawings.
* Free Screening of the Oscar winning animated
film Spirited Away at 1:30pm, presented
in partnership with Cinema St. Louis.
* Fun hands-on art activities for kids
of all ages in the studio and second floor
classroom.
WHEN: Saturday, February 26, 2005 from
1:00 - 4:00pm. FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
