Chinese Culture Days Festival

Once again, the Chinese Education and Culture Service of St.
Louis is proud to present the Chinese Culture Days festival at
the Missouri Botanical Garden. The celebration begins at 10:00
a.m. on Saturday, May 21 and concludes at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday,
May 22.
Be amazed by the daring feats of the Shanghai Acrobats; admire
the artistry of the Dragon Arts Puppet Theater troupe; dance to
the beat of the many folk dancers; or, enjoy a calming tea ceremony
in the Grigg Nanjing Friendship Garden. And, you won’t want to
miss the Grand Parade that will feature a 70-foot long dragon.
Many activities will continue throughout the two-day celebration.
Visitors can enjoy all aspects of the Chinese culture including
sampling authentic Chinese food from various local restaurateurs.
For children, crafts and games focused on the Chinese culture
will be available throughout each day. Students from local Chinese
language schools will perform “The Legend of the Silk Road?and
participate in dance demonstrations throughout the weekend. Martial
arts experts will be on hand to demonstrate their art and to teach
those interested.
The cost each day is $10 for adults 13-64 ($7 seniors 65+) and
$3 for members and children 12 and under.
