SLCC's Florissant Valley, Meramec Campuses to Host College Goal Sunday Feb.

College-bound students who are wondering how to pay for their education will
benefit from a free program designed to answer that question Sunday, Feb.
12, at the Florissant Valley and Meramec campuses of St. Louis Community
College.

College Goal Sunday is a nationwide program that offers free information and
assistance to students and their families who are applying for financial
aid. The program will be 2-4 p.m. in Rooms 105/107 in the Training Center
building on the Florissant Valley campus, 3400 Pershall Road, and in Room
103 in the Lecture Hall building on the Meramec campus, 11333 Big Bend Road.

Anyone interested in attending a postsecondary institution who might need
financial assistance in paying for college may participate in College Goal
Sunday. Financial aid professionals will be on hand to help college-bound
students and their families complete the Free Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA), the first step in the college financial aid process.
FAFSA is used to apply for federal student grants, work-study money and
loans to assist students in paying for their education. Students also may
use this application to apply for most state and some private financial aid.

Participants will need to bring their 2005 federal tax records to the
session.
