Chinese opera joins the annual program of folk dance, fashion, food, and martial arts at the 2006 Chinese Culture Days. A 70-foot dragon, meant to dispel bad luck and evil spirits, kicks off the event during the parade at 10 a.m. on Saturday May 20.
Visitors to Chinese Culture Days took part in guided tours of the Grigg Nanjing Friendship Garden, always beautiful in springtime, t’ai chi performances, and traditional tea tastings. Regional Chinese foods provided by local restaurants Lu Lu, Hot Wok and Bubble Tea House.
