WHY: This course trains Lay Responders to recognize and respond to emergency situations and care for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies in adults (persons over 8 years of age) children (persons between the ages of 1 and 8) and infants (persons less than one year of age). You will learn to care for conscious and unconscious choking victims, perform CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on a victim of sudden cardiac arrest (adults and children ONLY). Students will receive a CPR/AED-Adult & Child plus CPR-Infant certificate valid for one year.
ALSO: The cost of this class is $49. Please note that all participants must pre-pay in order to reserve a space in the class. No walk-ins accepted.
