The St. Louis Zoo will light up the night at this year's U.S. Bank Wild Lights, with nearly half a million colorful lights, animated light displays and seasonal sounds. The event runs 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. November 24-25, November 30-December 2, December 7-9, December 14-23 and December 26-30.

Enjoy illuminated displays throughout the Zoo including "Penguins in Paradise," colorful leaping fish, a sparkling snowflake tree, an elephant atop the Z-O-O pylon, shooting stars, "Flamingo Lagoon" and "Butterfly Garden," bullfrogs that croak "Jingle Bells," and much more.

Step into the sub-Antarctic and go nose to beak with the birds at Penguin & Puffin Coast. Look for local choir performance on Friday nights in December. Hear fireside stories by theatrical interpreters Tundra Tom, Arctic Annie and the Snow Princess, meet costumed characters and make a winter luminary to take home.

Experience the animated motion simulator ride "Glacier Run" (additional fee $3/person). It's a dazzling rocket fueled expedition, barreling through deep ice ravines, villages and treacherous mountain terrain. Climb aboard your favorite animal on the Mary Ann Lee Conservation Carousel (additional fee $2/person).

Have dinner or a snack and do some holiday shopping while at the Zoo. At Safari Gift Shop, Zoo members will receive 20% discount and non-members will receive 10% discount on purchases during Wild Lights.
