【時報訊】由聖路易Richmond Heights社區中心與聖路易時報聯合主辦之聖路易亞裔藝術家藝展訂4月13日至5月24日在該社區中心The Heights藝廊，邀得徐衛民、劉榮正、蔡義雄三位藝術家參展，將展出徐衛民水墨畫、劉榮正油畫素描、水彩畫，蔡義雄版畫等13件作品，開幕招待會訂4月13日(週五)下午六至八時在藝展會場舉行。敬備茶點，歡迎各界人士蒞臨參觀指導。這項展覽是Richmond Heights市公共藝術推廣專案之一。
The Heights藝廊地址8001 Dale Ave.,由40號高速公路往東在Hanley路以南出口後立即在Dale路左轉，The Heights在右手邊。
本次藝展是由旅居聖路易的藝術家劉榮正策劃並獲得Richmond Heights社區中心和聖路易時報之支持，畫展主題訂名為Asian Artists in American，分別邀得徐衛民、劉榮正、蔡義雄三位藝術家之二度空間平面藝術作品參展。您可以欣賞到徐衛民先生的水墨畫，劉榮正先生的油畫、素描、水彩和蔡義雄先生的版畫，展現出三項藝術領域中之藝術特色和風味。
徐衛民先生長期從事工藝美術造型設計與創作，他研讀經史畫論，揣摩經典繪畫技巧，博採百家之長，對水墨畫等傳統丹青亦多有領悟。其水墨畫作品收錄于多部專業圖冊和個人專著之中。徐先生以師法自然為創作宗旨。他雲遊萬里，攀崖聽瀑，臨海觀濤，古跡尋芳， 以飽滿的熱情和生動的筆觸讚美大自然，謳歌山河。
劉榮正畢業於台灣文化大學美術系，獲有芳邦大學藝術碩士學位，曾任職GPX電子公司主任設計師十六年，在電子工業設計界享有盛名，1981年即榮獲香港舉辦之第一屆亞洲電子展品設計獎第一名。來美後自1997年起連續兩年獲得密蘇里州墨西哥市藝術展第三名，1999年獲得美國華府20世紀亞太藝術展特優獎，同年並獲得聖喬爾斯郡地區藝術展榮獲入選獎，劉榮正迄今舉辦過9次個展，展出水彩、油畫、素描及陶瓷藝術作品，在聖路易城區商業發展協會大樓及各地圖書館都可以欣賞到他創作之藝術作品。
蔡義雄1948年出生於台北市；1971年國立台灣藝術專科學校美術科西畫組；1989年，行政院文建會第一屆版畫推廣研究班；1989年，美國紐約Blackburn Prints Workshop研究凹版版畫創作；1993年，美國紐約大學版畫研究所研究彩色版畫財團法人巴黎文教基金會董事；1994年，成立AP版畫創作空間，1994年，台北好來藝術中心個展(台灣)；1997年，財團法人，巴黎文教基金會董事兼執行長，新台北藝術學會理事長；1998年，新台北藝術學會個展(台灣)，十青版畫會長；1999年，台北草土舍個展(台灣)，日本東京"O"GALERIE個展(日本)；2002年，中華民國版畫學會理事長，2003年，台北福華沙龍個展(台灣)；2004年，國立台灣藝術大學兼任教師；2005年，市立台北教育大學兼任教師。作品收藏機構：西安美術學院，廣西美術館，國立歷史博物館，屏東文化中心，國立台灣美術館，台中澄清醫院，福華大飯店，淡江大學文錙藝術中心，天使藝術中心。
Asian Artists in America Exhibition debuts at The Heights Community Center in Richmond Heights
WHAT:
The City of Richmond Heights will feature the Asian Artists in America Exhibition featuring works by artists Weiming Xu, Jimmy Liu and I-Hsung Tsai. The artwork represented in the exhibit spans from Paintings, Drawings and Printmaking by some of our top Asian artists from the St. Louis region. Over the past several years, Richmond Heights has been integrating art into the environment through a wide variety of displays at The Heights, the City's community center at 8001 Dale Avenue as part of their Public Art Master Plan to incorporate the arts and culture into the community. This exhibition is part of an ongoing effort to promote art and artists from the region and will present paintings, photography, drawing/illustration, watercolor, sculpture and mixed media works by artists from the St. Louis community.
