SAM PAGE ANNOUNCES FOR LT. GOVERNOR
SAM PAGEA Democratic candidatefor Lieutenant Governor
ST. Louis - Today, Sam Page stood with his family before his friends and relatives at the Creve Coeur Government Center to announce his candidacy as a Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor of the State of Missouri.
"I am so grateful for the opportunities this state has already given my family and me and I am aware of the responsibility I am seeking. I seek the office of Lieutenant Governor on behalf of our state, our future, our seniors, our veterans, and our children," Page began.
Page, a 42 year old physician and State Representative who lives with his wife Jenny and three sons in Creve Coeur, in St. Louis County, kicked off his statewide campaign with stops in Van Buren, Springfield, St. Louis, Columbia, and ended in Kansas City, where he graduated from UMKC’s Medical School.
Page kicked off his campaign earlier than is usual. He needed the time to meet more Missourians, he said, and to explain what must be done to provide quality healthcare for every family and for every veteran."Too much energy in Jefferson City is spent bickering and playing political games. It is time for leaders who are willing to face our serious challenges. I will do the job that you elect me to do."
Page visited with his former classmates at the Van Buren high School before leaving for Springfield to continue his first day of announcements.
