U. City seeks public input for Olive Boulevard Study

Your opinion matters. The City of University City (MO) Department of Community Development seeks public input for study of improvements to Olive Boulevard. To participate in the brief online survey until Mid-November, visit: www.ucitymo.org > Surveys.

Results of the survey will assist in the creation of Design Standards and Guidelines for Olive. This will include recommendations for facades, compatible lighting, signage, building orientation, landscaping, scattered parking lots and/or parking facilities, pedestrian connections and more. Approved standards will help improve the visual attractiveness of the Olive corridor while clearly illustrating the City's expectations for new development and redevelopment.

Enhancement of Olive Boulevard is the City's economic development priority. Over the past several years, the City and its partners have undertaken a number of efforts to enhance the area. Focus is on hundreds of both large and small businesses, and vibrant residential traffic.

By February 2008, The Olive Boulevard Design Standards and Guidelines will be complete. For more information, contact Lehman Walker, Director of Community Development: (314) 505-8502.
