【時報訊】聖路易的桌球少年英雄姚心覺(Justin Yao)、姚心憫(Alex Yao)及教練母親徐小燕應聖市華盛頓大學之邀，將於2月22日（周五）晚間七時在華大女子籃球賽中場時間，舉行桌球公開表演及教學，免費對外公開。歡迎社區各界人士踴躍前往欣賞並學習桌球技巧。
姚心覺(Justin Yao)今年14歲，已被美國桌球協會提名為美國奧林匹克委員會核准為2007年度男子運動選手，這是桌球界最大的榮譽。姚心覺目前是美國桌球15歲和18歲組第一種子球員，曾應邀赴瑞典和他們的18歲組國家代表隊一起訓練及在瑞典和丹麥比賽11場，當時他才12歲。
今年12歲的弟弟姚心憫(Alex Yao)是2006年聖路易桌球Gateway公開賽冠軍，2007年加州柏克萊全美13歲組和18歲組公開賽冠軍。
2月22日（周五）是聖市華盛頓大學校友家庭日。當天晚上華大女子籃球校隊在Field House體育館有一場比賽在大約七點比賽中場休息時，姚心覺、姚心憫將在比賽場地作桌球表演賽，展現高超桌球藝，中場結束後，華大在Field House旁之Intramural體育館安排有五個以上的桌球桌，由姚氏兄弟和他們的教練母親徐小燕聯合華大桌球社同學一齊作桌球示範和指導。
華大歡迎無論是桌球好手或是初學者都來參加這次免費的學習機會，增強球技，由於當天是校友家庭日，屆時將會有許多不同年紀的孩子及青少年在一起學習桌球，整個活動將持續到晚上10點。
Ping Pong Exhibition by Yao Brothers at Washington UniversityFree Clinic for any one who wants to learn or play
The Yao brothers, Justen and Alex, are invited by Washington University to give a Ping Pong (Table Tennis) exhibition during the highly popular Alumni Family Night on February 22 (Friday) in the Field House.
The St., Louis Chinese community is well aware of these two Ping Pong proteges. However, their recent accomplishment are even more astonishing. During the last two years, the brothers have earned many distinctions:
For Justen (14 years old now, Wow.) - He has been nominated by the US Table Tennis Association and approved by the US Olympic Committee as the 2007 Male Athlete of the year. It is the most prestigious honor in Table Tennis. He is currently seeded No. 1 in both Juniors 15 and 18 years group in the USA. He has been invited and trained in Sweden with their National 18 years team and played 11 Tournaments in Sweden and Denmark when he was only 12.
And for Alex (12 years old now, but only.) - He has won the St. Louis Gateway Open Championship of all ages in 2006, Champion for the US worldwide Open tournament of 13 year group and the 18-year old Open tournament of Berkeley, California in 2007.
The Exhibition at Washington University is scheduled to begin during the half-time of Women's basketball game estimated to be around 7 PM. Admissions to the basketball games and the Ping Pong Exhibition are free.
In addition, there will be 5 more tables being set up in the Intramural Gym across the Field House for additional demonstration, competition, and free Clinic given by the Yao Brothers, their mother-coach Mrs, Sheri U as well as members of the Washington University Table Tennis Club. Any person interested in Table Tennis whether is an advanced player or just a beginner of any age is welcome to challenge for a serious match or to attend the free clinic to improve your skill. Since this is a family night for Washington University Eliot Society members, there will be hundreds of children and youth of different ages who would love to participate in this free clinic. The clinic begins immediately after the beginning of the 2nd half of women's basketball game and close at 10 PM.
February 22 promise to be a fun night at the Athletic Complex of Washington University. Everyone is welcome and there is no admission fee.
