Girl Scout cookies ordered from Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri members will be delivered during the next few weeks. For those who did not place an order or would like to purchase more cookies, Girl Scout troops will sell additional cookies at "cookie booths" throughout the council's jurisdiction. Cookie booths can be found at area supermarkets and other local venues through March 9.New Lemon Chalet Cremes and Sugar Free Chocolate Chips join six returning flavors: All Abouts, Do-Si-Dos, Samoas, Tagalongs, Thin Mints and Trefoils.
Cookies are $3 per package. All proceeds from the Girl Scout Cookie Program stay within the local community to benefit area girls. Troops retain a percentage of the price of each package to fund activities such as field trips and community service projects planned by the girls throughout the year. Proceeds also help the council deliver programs for girls, provide training and materials for adult volunteers, and maintain local Girl Scout camps.
To find a cookie booth location, contact your local Girl Scout, call the Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri at 1.800.727.4475 or visit www.girlscoutsem.org.
