2008 St Louis Chinese Moon Festival & US China International Exchange Exhibition

By Chinese Culture Promotion and Development Association

Chinese Culture Promotion and Development Association (CCPDA) will host the 2008 St Louis Chinese Moon Festival and US China International Exchange Exhibition on September 14, 2008 at the Center of Clayton. CCPDA aims to promote the essence of Chinese culture in the Western world and to facilitate the expansion of local businesses into the global market place, particularly into China.

CCPDA believes strongly that the key to integration into the global business environment is cultural understanding. To this end, therefore, the September event will showcase our ambitious multicultural community outreach program targeted at all segments of the population. For example, we have devised an innovative fusion of Chinese health wisdom and Western science which we believe can improve the life quality of the millions of diabetics in the U.S In addition, we will introduce our Chinese language classes aimed at practical use. Our performing arts show will be featured in the upcoming St. Louis Art Fair. All these programs will deepen community understanding of China just as millions of American households tuned in to watch the Beijing Olympics.

In addition to these activities which will take place late this summer, the CCPDA has been active in the St. Louis community for over a year. We held a well-attended New Year Celebration dance party at St. Louis Community College (Forest Park) in 2007. This year, we were a central sponsor for a multicultural art event which took place at Belas Artes gallery in St. Louis, at which music and art from all over Asia was showcased. Finally, in the wake of the earthquake tragedy in Sichuan, China, the CCPDA immediately donated funds to help with the relief effort.

Please come to join us at the exhibition, have fun and gain opportunities!
