Creve Coeur City Council member James Wang supports Jill Schupp for State Representative

        By James Wang

The 82nd district of Missouri is of distinct importance to the Chinese-American community since so many of us have chosen to live in West County. My colleague on the Creve Coeur City Council , Jill Schupp, is running for Missouri State Representative for that seat.

I have enjoyed working with Jill Schupp for the past two years and am simply amazed by her capabilities. Jill Schupp has spent her career building coalitions and solving problems. Jill will take that same approach as our State Representative; getting to the root of what's not working, analyzing solutions and gaining consensus to make decisions so that we - as a state and a community - can get things done.

With over 20 years of business experience, Jill knows first hand the importance of working within a limited budget and making every dollar count.

As a member of Ladue Board of Education, Jill fulfilled her campaign promises to reduce class size, institute a foreign language program for elementary students and add air conditioning to the schools.

As a Creve Coeur City Council member Jill is working to promote community vitality, build partnerships to encourage transportation alternatives for area residents and businesses and develop a plan to ensure dependable delivery of electricity, and work toward reducing our carbon footprint.

Jill is a graduate of Parkway North High School and the University of Missouri in Columbia. She and her husband Mark are the proud parents of Brandon, a student at Emory University, and Alex, a Journalism student at the University of Missouri-Columbia. You can reach Jill at 314/225-1410 or jillschupp@aol.com or visit her web site at www.jillschupp.com

I hope you will join me in supporting Jill Schupp even though I am conflicted by the thought that her winning would mean that she would have to give up her City Council spot.... but she could serve us even better from the State Capitol.
