Within the next couple of weeks, MidAmerica St. Louis Airport will become a more well-known international air cargo hub. China will be sending a plane full of electronics and computer goods to the Chicago O'Hare Airport, which will then be shipped to MidAmerica. From Mid America, they will be flown into Miami to be distributed throughout South American countries. On October 30, flowers from South America were flown to MidAmerica, stored in the airport warehouse, and distributed to floral wholesalers, completing the first international delivery to the airport. These flights will now occur weekly. International Harvester and Caterpillar equipment parts will also be flown to Miami to be dispersed to Central and South America.
St. Louis University is Turning to Fee-Based Agents to Recruit International Students
St. Louis University is relying on agencies to recruit international students who have become hot commodities to American universities. SLU signs a contract with these agencies that, in turn, help students with the U.S. college admissions system, fill out application forms and apply for visas. Universities, like SLU, use the agencies in order to promote diversity among their student population, and boost the school's finances. |
