DETAILS
The concert will feature jazz and a capella variations of many holiday classics, including "Yo Tannenbaum," "Deck the Halls," "Coventry Carol," "Let It Snow" and "Jingle Bells."
The UMSL Jazz Ensemble is comprised of student performers. Jim Widner, coordinator of jazz studies at UMSL, is the director of the 18-piece ensemble, which will perform in the style of Stan Kenton and Gordon Goodwin.
Vocal Point is a select ensemble of 20 a capella singers at UMSL. Jim Henry, director of choral studies at UMSL, is the conductor for the group, which will perform in the style of Singers Unlimited. |
