Anheuser-Busch InBev Opens 600m-Yuan Plant In Foshan

        Anheuser-Busch InBev, the world's biggest beer brewer, announced the commencement of a 600-million-yuan new factory in Foshan, Guangdong province, aiming at a further expansion in the South China market. The factory, Budweiser (Foshan) Brewing Co Ltd, can produce 260,000 tons of beer under brands of Budweiser and Harbin every year and will expand in the future.

        "Our mission is to become the most profitable and efficient brewer in China. The opening of Foshan Brewery will further consolidate the leading market position of Anheuser-Busch InBev in China, especially its market share in South China," said YR Cheng, president of Anheuser-Busch InBev China.

        InBev purchased former US beer giant Anheuser-Busch in 2008.
