Olivette市警局局長Knox表示，雖然市民駕車經過Olivette市會有所耽擱，但是這些酒測站確實能保障駕車及市民安全，如果您行經檢查站，敬請耐心配合檢查，確保大家的安全。
Knox局長呼籲所有駕駛飲酒不開車，開車不飲酒，如果您發現有人醉酒駕車，請隨時撥打911或314-645-3000檢舉維護市民及行車安全。
Sobriety Checkpoints in City of OlivetteCheckpoints to be Conducted During Month of July
Olivette, Mo/June 30, 2009 - The Olivette Police Department may conduct sobriety checkpoints at various locations within Olivette during the month of July 2009. The checkpoints are aimed at reducing the number of intoxicated driver related crashes, which occur on our roadways.
The checkpoint will involve briefly stopping traffic for the purpose of checking for drinking drivers. Intoxicated drivers will be arrested. Others will be allowed to proceed after a short delay.
"While citizens may be delayed for a short period of time, these checkpoints have been proven highly successful in getting intoxicated drivers off the streets. Should you come upon one of these checkpoints, your cooperation and patience will be appreciated," said Chief Knox.
Part of the Olivette Police Departments mission is to enforce the law, establish good order for our city and provide safe and secure environments for our citizens.
