【時報訊】全美最大之醫藥福利管理及醫藥配輸中心之一的Express Scripts公司，日前宣布將在聖路易郡北園(North Park)工業區興建佔地12公頃，總值七千四百萬元之公司總部，這是該公司自2007年將公司遷到聖路易密蘇里大學校區後第三棟新建築。
聖路易郡郡長Charlie Dooley對Express Scripts公司這項決定表示感謝，他說，建廠工程對聖路易地區，尤其是聖路易北郡幫助極大。Express Scripts極具發展潛力，能夠改善本地區就業環境，同時吸引更多的大公司前來設廠。
聖路易北園工業區總面積為550公頃。Express Scripts將原本計劃在賓州Bucks郡設公司總部之計劃遷到聖路易北園工業區。這個現代化的公司總部配藥中心，每天可處理11萬個處方藥，吞吐量可觀，整個設廠工程預計明(2010)年四月交工。
Express Scripts是近年來聖路易地區成長最迅速之全國性公司之一。它服務的範圍包括上千醫療健保組織、保險公司及醫藥行政管理中心等，提供醫藥訂購管理、郵寄、續購、送藥到府。醫藥資料分析等項目。該公司同時有全線生物醫藥產品，直接服務病患或診所，並提供有效成本管理及病患照顧服務。
St. Louis County Wins Express Scripts Latest Expansion Project
St. Louis, MO - Express Scripts decision to build its state-of-the-art high-volume prescription fulfillment center in St. Louis County is great news for the region. The facility will create approximately 270 quality jobs and add substantial investment to the County's tax base. Bucks County, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia, was also competing for the high-volume filler pharmacy.
One of the nation's largest pharmacy benefits managers (PBM), Express Scripts $74 million, 12-acre expansion will be located at NorthPark, near its corporate headquarters. This expansion is the company's third new building since relocating its headquarters to the campus of the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2007.
"This is a huge win for North County and our region, and we are extremely grateful Express Scripts chose to build this facility in St. Louis County over Bucks County in Pennsylvania," said St. Louis County Executive Charlie A. Dooley. "This strengthens our partnership for future growth with the company but more importantly this expansion brings much-needed quality jobs. Additionally, Express Scripts presence at NorthPark will help to further attract additional investment to its 550-acre business park."
The high-volume fulfillment center will feature state-of-the-art pharmacy automation for the dispensing, packaging and shipment of 110,000 prescriptions per day. The construction of the building is under way and is scheduled for completion in April 2010.
