專題講座: 水仙花

水仙花是春天最早開放的花朵，象徵著「希望」和「新生」. 為增進大家對培植水仙花的認識與了解, 聖路易中華語文學校特別邀請前校長霍錦福博士與您一起分享水仙花的歷史、種類，栽培和繁殖以及提供水仙花問題諮詢. 當天他將義賣親自栽種的水仙花（1元5朵）。義賣所得將全額捐獻給聖路易中華語文學校。
*霍錦福博士退休于輝瑞公司和密蘇里大學。2009年曾擔任聖路易水仙花協會董事. 現任美國水仙協會會員。種植的水仙花曾榮獲當地及2009年4月芝加哥植物園舉辦的全國水仙會議的認可獎項。

Our former St. Louis Chinese Academy principal, Kam Fok, will give a power point slide presentation on daffodils. Topics include history, classification, cultivation, and propagation. He will provide information sheets on the cultivation of daffodils and he will answer questions and provide advice to those who are interested in growing daffodils. After the presentation, he will sell hundreds of daffodil flowers from his garden ($1 for 5 stems). The money collected will be donated to the St. Louis Chinese Academy.
*Kam Fok is a retired chemist from Pfizer Inc. and University of Missouri - St. Louis. He is currently a member of American Daffodil Society. He was a Trustee Board Member of Greater St. Louis Daffodil Society in 2009. Some of his daffodils won recognitions locally and in the National Daffodil Meeting at Chicago Botanical Garden in April, 2009. |
