        2010-2011 SEASON OPENS OCTOBER 8

        ST. LOUIS, August 11, 2010 - Single tickets for Dance St. Louis' 45th season of bringing great dance of the world to St. Louis audiences will go on sale at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 7, the day after Labor Day.

        Dance St. Louis opens its 2010-2011 season in October with one of America's premier ballet companies, Houston Ballet, and closes in August 2011 with Billy Elliot the Musical, the 2009 Tony Award-winning Best Musical based on the international hit movie about a coal-miner's son who discovers a surprising passion for ballet.

        Through the year we will journey to emotions only dance can bring, with each performance from a company admired all over the world,?said Michael Uthoff, Dance St. Louis artistic & executive director.

        The eight shows that make up the 2010-11 season are as follows:

        Single tickets are on sale as of September 7 for Houston Ballet, Nutcracker at the Fox, Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and MOMIX in Botanica. The Emerson SPRING TO DANCE FESTIVAL 2011 goes on sale in Spring 2011. On-sale dates for single tickets to STOMP and Billy Elliot the Musical are TBA.
