Letter to the editor:
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the voters of St. Louis County.
Thank you for trusting me with the future of St. Louis County. I owe each and every one of you a debt of gratitude. I consider it a privilege to serve as your County Executive for the next four years.
Elections say a lot about a community. More importantly they say a lot about the people who make up that community. This year many political pundits said voters weren't going to show up to the polls. But you did show up. You voted in numbers that shocked even the greatest of cynics.
We have many challenges and many opportunities ahead of us. I can tell you this, I will never stop working to make this community the best place to live in the United States.
I will build jobs. I will help small businesses grow and I will manage each and every tax dollar you send to the County wisely.
I believe listening is a lot more important than talking. That's why St. Louis County has a customer service help line (314) 615-5000 to take your calls. It is always answered by a real person.
