U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill.
On Sunday January 27, 2013 morning Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill) seemed to ooze optimism when talking about a working group focused on immigration reform.

As a guest on Fox News Sunday, Durbin gave a sneak peak of the bipartisan plan.

"We are committed to a comprehensive approach to finally in this country have an immigration law that we can live with," Durbin said.

Durbin said group is made of up three Republican and three Democratic senators and that their plan will include the Dream Act, under which undocumented youth would be eligible for a conditional path to citizenship.

"We have virtually been going, maybe, 25 years without a clear statement about immigration policy," Durbin said. "That's unacceptable in this nation of immigrants. And we're also saying, that we're putting as a high priority the unification of families. To make sure that families have a chance to come together."

Both Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz) and Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) are part of the working group.

As guests on ABC's "This Week" those senators were cautiously optimistic about the prospect of comprehensive immigration reform clearing the Senate.
