In celebration of the Chinese New Year, I went to Ryce restaurant located on Dorsett with the brothers and sisters of Fellowship and some friends to enjoy the genuine Jiangnan dishes on Saturday February 16. Ryce restaurant is a Chinese buffet restaurant. Since it opened door 7 years ago, I have been a regular customer. Although it has already become a memory for me to indulge with good food the way I did when younger, it is still quite difficult to not taste the stewed pork knees, chicken and ginseng soup and Singapore bone tea.

Walking into the front door, you will see the two Terracotta Warriors that represent the style of the restaurant. The decoration with ancient Chinese style and the spaciousness of the restaurant provide a relaxing environment to customers eating in the restaurant. It is a very good place for groups big and small to have a good time. There are many delicious dishes, the meaty beef stew and turnip , the tender and fresh steamed Longli fish, the stir fried eggplant, the Singapore bone tea that I always have to have two big bowls, the fresh fried You Tiao, and the steamed or stir fried crabs. There are also many selections of appetizers that are worth trying even your stomach is already full.

On February 23 and 24, to celebrate the lantern festival on January 15 of the Chinese calendar, the restaurant will have special dishes that have been traditionally prepared for the festival in China. It would be a perfect lantern festival if one could have these special dishes accompanied by a glass of wine while watching the beautiful lanterns.
