February 4, 2013 CLAYTON, Missouri: Since its beginning as the seat of St. Louis County government in 1877, Clayton has experienced a long, steady and prosperous growth. In 1913, community leaders decided it was prudent to incorporate, and the City of Clayton became a municipality. Over time, Clayton has become a vibrant hub of business activity and a recognized civic leader in the St. Louis region. Throughout 2013, the city will celebrate its 100th anniversary with a special events and activities. Attached is an event schedule for the first half of 2013.
