MoDOT Selects St. Louis Company To Build 'Lid' Park Project Near Arch

The rendering of the "Park Over The Highway" portion of the CityArchRiver plan. MoDOT says a St. Louis contractor has been selected for the park poriton of the project.
The "Park Over The Highway" project, commonly known around town as "the lid" portion of the CityArchRiver plan, has a contractor.
The Missouri Department of Transportation announced Wednesday July 10, 2013 that St. Louis contractor KCI Construction had the winning bid for the project.
At $26.4 million, MoDOT said KCI's bid was also the lowest submitted.
Landscape architecture firm Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates designed the entire CityArchRiver plan. The entire project is expected to be completed in 2015.
The park portion of the project is expected to begin construction in August and will involve construction near the Martin Luther King Bridge.
