Here are the 10 startups pitching at this year's Demo Day

        Capital Innovators' Demo Day, the annual tech event that brings together startups and investors, is less than a week away.

        Presenting at Demo Day will be the ten startup companies that have recently completed the Capital Innovators program over the past 12 months. Each of those startups received $50,000 equity investments and took part in Capital Innovators' 12-week accelerator program, which has been billed as one of the best programs in the country by professors at the MIT Sloan School of Management and the University of Virginia.

        Here are the 10 startups pitching at this year's Demo Day:

        Better Weekdays (Chicago) helps companies attract, hire and retain top talent by pre-screening candidates based on their compatibility with job requirements and fit with the corporate structure.

        CellARide (Springfield, Missouri) provides a new way for individuals and dealerships to complete transactions by providing an intuitive text message-based platform to sell cars, trucks, boats, RVs and more.

        MedSocket (Columbia, Missouri) provides a patented clinical decision support system from the clinician's perspective, with attention to his or her needs and workflow.

        OurVinyl.TV (Nashville) is an online platform that allows users to discover new music through video and original content.

        Space Sculpt (St. Louis) connects interior designers from around the world with customers.

        HealthyMe (St. Louis) uses mobile text messaging to reduce hospital readmission rates and the money lost because of the Affordable Care Act's 30-day readmission penalties.

        Kingdom Scene (St. Louis) is a subscription-based virtual world that provides an interactive online environment filled with fun, games, stories and content for children ages 7 to 13.

        Pixel Press (St. Louis) is a mobile application that allows users to draw their own video games.

        RoverTown (St. Louis) is a mobile distributor of discounts for college students.

        Symvato (St. Louis) provides a software tool for step-by-step compliance management to private medical practice firms that need to comply with changing Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act regulations.
