About the author:
Gloria Lin is a fifth year student at Washington University, studying pre-med and majoring in Chinese. She graduated from Carmel High School (Carmel, IN) in 1998. She received an Air Force ROTC scholarship to study Chinese and joined AFROTC as a freshman in college. She is an active member of Arnold Air Society, an honorary service organization associated with AFROTC. Her other extra-curricular activities include Chinese New Year Festival, playing the piano, reading and writing. When she graduates in May 2003, she will commission as a Lieutenant and begin a career as a health care administrator for the US Air Force.
