CHINESE TRANSLATORS

3001, Inc., the geospatial solutions company, is currently looking to build a staff of Chinese translators at our downtown St. Louis, MO office. The positions will work in a team-based environment translating several different types of products. These products can include hard-copy native maps and atlases along with digitally provided scanned maps and data.

Qualified applicants should have an eye for detail, a working knowledge of English, as well as be able to read and write in conversational, traditional and simplified Mandarin Chinese, including translation into Hanyu-Pinyin. Preferred, but not necessary, is a working knowledge of Wade-Giles and Tongyong Pinyin.

Basic computer knowledge is preferred but not necessary. Programs used include ESRI ArcMap, Microsoft Word and Excel, and extensive usage of the internet and web browsing.
