J. Bryan "Jerry" Collester

J. Bryan Collester has been a member of Principia College's faculty since 1974. He also serves the College as Director of the Cox School of Government, and administrator for the Helen Dwight Reid International Fellowship and Clayton D. Ford Award for Graduate Studies in Government and Law.
He is adjunct professor, Graduate Program in International Affairs at Washington University (St. Louis). He is also a member of "Team Europe," a speaking group on the European Union, appointed by the EU Commission's Delegation to the United States, in Washington, D.C. He is past president and chair and member of the board of directors of the Council on Foreign Relations, St. Louis Committee.
In 1989-90, Dr. Collester was Visiting Professor of National Security Studies at the Air War College, Air University (USAF) and was recipient of the "Outstanding Lecturer Award." He was an annual lecturer at Air University for seven years.
From 1982-84 Dr. Collester was Special Assistant and Senior Policy Advisor to the Executive Deputy Director, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Washington, D.C. From 1981-84 he served on the Board of Visitors of the National Fire Academy, Emmitsburg, MD.
Before coming to Principia College, Dr. Collester taught at Miami University (Ohio) and served as Director of Miami's European Center in Luxembourg (1970-72).
