The Honorable NIU Mao Sheng, Governor of Hebei Province, People's Republic of China and a delegation of 20 government officials and business leaders from Missouri Sister State of Hebei visited St. Louis June 18-20, seeking business opportunities.  They visited various companies throughout the region and present an overview of opportunities that exist for partnership and trade between Hebei and Missouri businesses.

The World Trade Center St. Louis organized a reception to honor the governor and the accompanying delegation on Monday, June 19, from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.  Monsanto formally presented a gift to Hebei establishing a training program in Missouri for Hebei Province.

World Trade Center St. Louis and Missouri International Training Institute of the University of Missouri-Columbia will partner to provide the training program for 20 officials from Hebei Province.  The training curriculum combined with site visits will highlight agricultural practices used in the Midwest and will assist in the facilitation of additional trade programs between China and Missouri's agricultural based businesses.
