OCA KICKS OFF NATIONAL PROJECT TO PROMOTE LITERACY, DIVERSITY AND APA AUTHORS
St. Louis, MO - The Organization of Chinese Americans, Inc. (OCA) officially kicked off its National Service Project in St. Louis on March 16, 2000 with a press conference at the St. Louis Public Library to promote literacy, diversity, and Asian Pacific American authors.  Participants in the event included Susan Rudd of Anheuser-Busch, the corporate project sponsor; members of the St. Louis Public Library and the American Library Association; the Coalition of Asian Pacific Americans; Thomas To (R), Immediate Past President, Jason Fong, OCA National Secretary and National Service Project Coordinator, and Jimmy Chu (L), board member of the OCA-St. Louis Chapter.
