Commemorative Issue     Date: 10/11/2001

One month after the hateful acts of September 11, 2001, St. Louis Chinese American News (SCANews) has published a Commemorative Issue on October 11, 2001.

The entire staff of SCANews pays our greatest condolences to the victims and families affected by the terrorist attacks on September 11. SCANews respects the police, firefighters, and the armed forces who bravely protect our community and our country.

SCANews and the American Red Cross St. Louis Chapter have teamed up in an effort to help donate blood and money for the 911 tragedy. In total, contributors have donated more than $2580 dollars. In order to show our continued love and prayers, SCANews has set up a website at www.SCANews.com/911fund, which will be continuously operated. 

The St. Louis Asian American Business Association and the print shop of SCANews have gratefully offered to fund the color cover picture of the Commemorative Issue. SCANews also thanks the Chinese community and advertisers for their support. 

In God we trust, SCANews wishes a bright and hopeful future for our country.
