Make no mistake about it the power of music can help heal. At Gitana it is out goal to support organizations like TOGETHER who provide a holistic response to the needs of others. The synergy that can come from a partnership of the arts with service organizations like TOGETHER is very powerful."

Gitana Productions, Inc. is a not-for-profit arts and education organization dedicated to increasing cultural awareness and appreciation by bringing international music, dance, and drama to the St. Louis community. In 2000, Gitana packed Powell Symphony on Labor Day weekend with a diverse audience for the rare opportunity to experience the China National Orchestra. Faces of Love Towards The East featured 80 musicians performing traditional Chinese folk music from various regions of China. This event also marked the first major Chinese cultural event to be hosted in St. Louis, and perhaps in the country, by an African American-based arts organization.
