The Minister of Education of the People's Republic of China, Chen Zhi Li, awarded recognized the Webster/Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE) Joint MBA Program with a national education award. There are about fifty joint MBA programs in China, that is, degree awarding programs based on a partnership between a Chinese and non-Chinese university.
The Minister gave Webster and SUFE a second place - nationally - for the continuous quality of the Joint MBA Program. The two schools have been working together since 1996, and currently have approximately 360 students.
The National Award is the highest honor given in China for outstanding achievement in education. It is for work leading up to and during the year 2001, but presented in 2002.
