Being aware of other cultures means learning about their social customs, hearing their music and dancing in their footsteps. The sixth annual Multicultural Awareness Day at the University of Missouri-St. Louis was held at noon on April 25 in the Century Rooms of the Millennium Student Center.
"The goal of Multicultural Awareness Day is educational," said Rochelle Declue Walker, assistant director of multicultural relations at UMSL. "We want people to hear, see, experience and do. We want them to walk away feeling like they really know the culture, that they have been immersed in another culture."
