1999 Taiwanese Summer Conference
The 1999 Midwest Taiwanese Summer Conference was held at the St. Louis Maryville University on July 16 - 18.  Focus on discussion about now and future of Taiwan, hundreds of Taiwanese Americans participated this once a year conference.

The 1999 Midwest Taiwanese Summer Conference was hosted by the St. Louis Taiwanese Association (SLTA).  Ms. Chiu Leun-Yuan is the chairperson of SLTA.   Left is the chairperson of the US Taiwanese Association Dr. Lin You-Hing. 

Taiwanese singing superstar - Roun-Hon Hong performed at the "Taiwan Night" party on 07/17 for 1999 Midwest Taiwanese Summer Conference.

Hilda Lai Lin, staff writer of California Pacific Times, encouraged people to write "Taiwanese" in year 2000 census.

The 1999 Midwest Taiwanese Summer Conference was held at the St. Louis Maryville University on July 16 - 18.  3 VIP guests from Taiwan - Mr. Min-Hsing Liu, President of the Taiwan Teachers Alliance,   Ms. Fang-hwa Chung, Taiwanese Columnist and Taiwan Congresswoman I-Gin Yeh hold the Taiwanese American Social Service Committee t-shirts.
