Dear SCANews Readers,

We have a lot to be grateful for this Holiday Season - for our family, friends and the many blessings God has given us and this great country. Brenda and I want to thank you for your friendship and for sharing in our lives. We appreciate it more than you'll ever know.

The kids and our family are busier than ever. Michael is adjusting to high school, playing football and starting wrestling - and he recently got his first turkey this season! Kate just started seventh grade. She enjoys drawing, singing, volunteering at the Church nursery and kidding her father. Chrissy plays soccer for her third grade team and especially likes playing goalie.

Brenda is practicing law three days a week and is busier than ever. We celebrated 21 years of marriage in September. I hate to sound like a romantic, but it seems like only 21 days to me.

It's an honor representing Missouri in the United States Senate. We've had a very productive year, but I've still been able to travel back to Missouri every weekend. I continue to work to change Washington on behalf of Missouri's common sense, conservative values.

It's also important to reflect on the service and sacrifice of our men and women in uniform who won't be home for the holidays. We ask that God protect them and keep America safe.

We hope this Holiday Season is filled with joy for you and your family. We look forward to visiting with you soon and wish for all of you a blessed New Year.
