 This
Christmas Eve, like so many before, was spent attending Mass at
the local church. However, this year I am in China. It was truly
amazing as Rechard and I approached the Catholic church in Tangshan,
Hebei Province. Crowds of people filled the street as policemen
helped direct followers to the entrance of the church. The atmosphere
was joyous as venders sold glowing Santas on sticks and red and
white elves hats!
Inside the church people stood in the aisles as the white haired
priest said the Mass. Red silk was draped from the ceiling and
a beautifully carved nativity scene sparkled with tiny lights
as hundreds lined up to receive communion. A choir sang hymns.
It was just like home...
