密蘇里州亞美律師協會及Mound City律師協會第五屆聯合晚宴四月二十一日(週四) 晚間六時半在聖路易大學城Olive道味香海鮮大酒樓舉行，二百餘位大聖路易地區律師及司法界人士與會，聖路易大學法學教授 Teri Dobbins 及密蘇里律師協會前會長Michael P. Gunn分別以「法學院少數族裔學生遞減」及「司法界之多元化」為題在晚宴中發表專題演講。聖路易華盛頓大學同學則在會中演出印度舞餘興節目，華裔高桐律師，張基慧律師，林超常律師及女兒Priscilla律師及多位華大、聖路易大學法學院學生與會，聖路易地區首位亞裔女法官，前密蘇里亞美律師協會會長 Judy Draper 亦應邀出席。

大學城選區選出之密蘇里州州議員Maria Chappel-Nadel在晚宴開始前頒贈文告，表彰兩律師協會對維護正義及社區公義之貢獻，分別由密蘇里亞美律師協會會長 Ari Bai律師及Mound City律師協協會會長Kim Franks代表接受。

21日的聯合晚宴是兩個律師協會連續第五年舉行。這個晚宴旨在慶祝密蘇里州亞裔及非洲裔法律社區之多元化，同時將在司法界服務之私人和公司行號律師，司法公職人員，公職代表等聯合在一起，今年聯合晚宴的主題是「司法界之多元化」 (Diversity in the Legal Community)，藉由晚宴之進行，做文化交流和友誼聯繫。

The Unity Dinner is an annual dinner co-sponsored by the Missouri Asian-American Bar Association and the Mound City Bar Association. In it's fifth year, the Unity Dinner seeks to celebrate the diverse cultures and backgrounds of both the Asian and African American legal communities in Missouri by bringing together attorneys from private, public and corporate practices as well as the Judiciary. The theme for this year's Unity Dinner is "Diversity in the Legal Community" which embodies the spirit and tradition of bringing together a diverse gathering of attorneys for an evening of food, culture and friendship.

In addition, the Unity Dinner has a keynote speaker who briefly addresses the gathering on issues pertinent to the issue of diversity. This year Professor Teri Dobbins will give a short presentation of "Declining Minority Enrollment in Law Schools, while Mike Gunn will make another short presentation on "Minorities in the Legal Community".
