Day Foundation is a social circus organization
using circus arts to inspire individuals
and connect communities. Saturday Feb. 26
they will present Circus Harmony: First
Movement, a multigenerational show featuring
almost 20 youth circus performers and over
20 multicultural musicians.
This creative confluence of music and circus
arts features juggling, tumbling, unicycling,
aerial and other acts accompanied by some
of the best musicians that live in St. Louis
including, Sandy Weltman and the Hebrew
Hillbillies, Farshid Soltanshahi, St. Louis
Osuwa Taiko drummers and others.
At 5:30, between the 3 and 8 PM shows,
there will be a reception/auction with items
ranging from a Bob Gibson autographed baseball
to hotel giveaways to a framed oil painting
by a Ringling Circus elephant. Proceeds
from the auction go to benefit the Circus
Day Foundation’s youth circus programs.
Circus Day believes that one pathway to
peace is to teach children from different
backgrounds to stand on each other’s shoulders.

for their youth circus troupe, the St. Louis
Arches. The Arches embody the organization's
mission statement as they "defy gravity,
soar with confidence, and leap over social
barriers, all at the same time."
