諸位護法大德：
白駒易逝，歲月遷移，送走了去歲，迎來了新年，於此之際，美中佛教會常住眾寄上一片問候與祝福，祈愿三寶加被諸位，合家平安，新年快樂！
為了感謝諸位的支持與贊助，把我們在去歲一年中的成績作點點匯報，與大家共享。現今新落成兩棟建築物：空亭，供大眾禪修之用；觀音亭，供奉觀世音菩薩，及供奉祈福延生者之牌位；園藝工程基本得到完善，這些都是大眾護持捐助所成。
去年得某施主帶頭捐獻，本會今年動工建築一座地藏殿，作為骨灰及牌位安放之所，方便大眾盡孝道和拜祭先祖，當然由感念已故之親友而不斷佛緣，常來道場才是我們所盼望的。
美中佛教會僧眾隊伍今年馬上增加至十二位，實踐佛法的修為亦在增上，僧眾擬定於1月10日開始為期三個月的冬安居，於此時期專精修學，這些都是逐步改善，逐漸努力完善僧制、修道、領眾、弘法的理想。
佛教道場需要信眾長期親近、修行、護持，持之以恆才能佛日增輝，法輪常轉。耑此，僅與諸位護法居士們同慶新年，送上我們的感恩及祈禱，敬頌時時安康，日日順利！

Dear Dharma Friends,
As we are entering a new year, the Sangha
at MABA wishes you blessings. May the merits
of the three treasures be with you. Also,
may all your families be safe and sound,
and may everyone be happy in this New Year.
With heartfelt gratitude for your support
and generosity, we like to share our progress
at MABA with you.
We have completed two new structures:
the Kung Hut and the Guan Yin Pavilion.
The Kung Hut is a small cabin sited on a
rock shelf in the woodlands near the Nun's
House and is primarily used for individual
meditation practice. The Guan Yin Pavilion,
where the life-size statue of Avalokitesvara
Bodhisattva was respectfully placed, houses
name tablets for blessings and longevity.
Additional landscaping has also been completed.
Your continuous help and generous donations
have made these works possible.
Initiated by a MABA supporter's generous
donation, we are just starting construction
of a Di Zhang Hall. It will be used to host
the cremated remains of our ancestors and
their name tablets. It is being built so
that our friends and supporters will have
an appropriate place to inter and pay respect
to their ancestors. Our sincere hope is
that you will attend services at MABA and
continue to practice the Buddha's teaching
with us.
Our Sangha, which now has twelve members,
started a three-month winter retreat on
January 10. During this period, the monastics
will be focused on study and practice. Through
study and practice, MABA hopes to realize
its goal of gradually strengthening its
community, making progress in its practice,
acting as a leader in the St. Louis and
Mid-west Buddhist community, and propagating
the Buddha-Dharma.
As a Buddhist Monastery, we ask for your
continued support so we can keep the Dharma
wheel turning and the Buddha-Dharma spreading.
May you and your family be happy and safe
everyday, and may your wishes fulfilled.

春節是中國的傳統節日，人們都希望「遊子歸來」合家團圓，移民海內外各族裔佛弟子，可來美中佛教會，雲集一處，同慶佳節，互勵互勉，祈福祝愿給您的親人，本會主席繼如法師希望大家於春節聚會茶點座談。

Chinese New Year Blessing

Ven.Ji Ru and the monastics invites you
and your family and friends to join us here
at MABA to celebrate the Chinese New Year
on Sunday February 13th. In China, it is
traditional to travel home and be with your
family for the Chinese New Year. The monastics
at MABA will conduct a Chinese NewYear Dharma
Blessing for all our friends who, due to
work and other commitments, are unable to
travel home to be with their families so
that they may gather together on this special
occasion to celebrate and offer blessings
to their families, relatives, and friends.
