D.C) U.S. Senator Jim Talent (R-Mo.), a member of the Senate Armed
Services Committee, today issued the following statement condemning
this morning𠏋 terrorist attacks in London:
The people of London were brutally attacked this morning by terrorists
whose cowardly methods we are all too familiar. As Prime Minister
Blair said this morning, this was an attack on all nations and
on civilized people everywhere.
The people of Great Britain have endured these attacks with tremendous
resolve and my thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their
loved ones.
No matter what the terrorists' objectives, we will not falter
in our mission, nor waver in our resolve. Either we take the war
to the terrorists or we face them at home.
Our alliance with Great Britain is the leading strategic partnership
in the world today, and I would strongly support providing any
form of assistance that Prime Minister Blair might request.
