As you know, the Congress (both the House and Senate) have been holdingimmigration hearings all around the country. News stories continue toflow! But there is no movement in Washington, D.C.
In the meantime, we worked hard and got lucky in the Missouri Legislativesession and finally avoided the passage of mean-spirited, anti-immigrantlegislation that would have denied children education and sick peoplehealth care.
NOW THE MISSOURI STATE LEGISLATIVE SPECIAL COMMITTEE ON IMMIGRATION ISCOMING TO SAINT LOUIS to hold a hearing on THURSDAY, AUGUST 10TH BEGINNINGAT 8:00 a.m. and ending at 5:00 p.m. AT HARRIS STOWE COLLEGE. This will bethe fifth site hearing in Missouri as legislators try to determine whatlegislation to draft and introduce in the next Missouri Legislativesession.
